Your Christmas Cheer

I was thinking about Christmas today.
And about the joy we shared last year.
You were home for the holidays.
You spread your Christmas Cheer.

Memories of us sitting together,
laughing at jokes that weren't funny.
And oh those trips to town
when we spent too much money.

We spent endless hours together
trimming my Christmas tree.
It was such wonderful & joyous time
because you were home with me.

But this year my heart is broken.
For you are in Heaven this year.
I try to catch a glimpse of joy,
But I can't feel Your Christmas Cheer.

In my heart, I know you're smiling.
As you listen to the angels sing.
With the other angels in Heaven...
Imagine Christmas with the King.

So as I sit and think about Christmas,
I can see your face so clear.
And when there is a "silent night,"
I can feel your Christmas cheer.

I Will Be There
Written by Sharon J. Bryant

Mom, tomorrow I will be there
Though you may not see
I'll smile and remember
The last Christmas, with you and me

Don't be sad mom
I'm never far away
Your heart has hidden sight
My memory will always stay

I watched as you touched the ornaments
Sometimes a tear was shed as you did
I touched you gently on your shoulder
And on tiptoes I proudly stood

I'm only gone for a little while mom
I'm waiting for the day to be
When God calls out your name mom
We'll be together, just you wait and see

But until that time comes
Carry on as you did when I was there
I tell the angels how much I love you
There are angels here everywhere!

I stand behind you some days
When I know that you are sad
I want you to be happy mom
It would make my heart so glad

So on this Christmas Eve, Mom
Think of me as I will be thinking of you
And touch that special ornament
That I once made for you

I love you mom and dad, also
I know you know I do
And I'll be waiting here for you
When your earthly life is through

Love, Your child in Heaven

This is the front of the Christmas cards I had bought that year Louise left,
these were to be 'her' Christmas cards to her friends.
(Thank you so much my very SPECIAL FRIEND, Maria, Christopher's Mommy
for coming up with the idea to make this into a very special background;
I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have you to think for me,
as Louise would say, "I LOVE YOU for ALWAYS!")

Our Children in Heaven are Making Music

Each time we hear the sound of music,
or smile at the ringing of chimes,
we stop to think of our precious children.
And the memories of these holiday times.

We see snow falling on the ground
and the beauty that it brings.
But our children see glorious sight of Heaven.
In the Angelic Choir where they sing.

They seem to make their own special music
to help ease our burdens at this time.
Each one of them play a musical instrument
while our tears put music to their rhyme.

We hear Christmas carols year after year.
Songs that still touch us so deep.
Oh, but it is no myth there is a Silent Night ...
A endless night without any sleep.

We hear the Little Drummer Boy play his drums
somewhere in the distance far away.
And in the other ear, we shall also hear
the harp another child plays.

Oh, our children make music echo.
And our tears make the words.
Together we harmonize to the sound of music
The most beautiful sound ever heard.

So as we celebrate this Christmas Season,
shall we forever look back on time.
And remember our children make the music.
While our tears put words to rhyme.
